Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde 1947 die ehemalige Kunstgewerbeschule als Staatliche Hochschule fu\u0308r Werkkunst neu gegru\u0308ndet und am 7. Juni 1950 erfolgte die Vereinigung der Staatlichen Hochschule fu\u0308r Werkkunst und der Staatlichen Akademie der bildenden Ku\u0308nste zur Hochschule fu\u0308r Bildende Ku\u0308nste Dresden.",
