  "biographicalOrHistoricalInformation": "Den tiefsten Einschnitt bedeutete fu\u0308r die reiche Augsburger Stadtbibliothek die Sa\u0308kularisation und die Mediatisierung der Reichsstadt. 1806 mussten die wichtigsten Handschriften und viele seltene Drucke an die Mu\u0308nchner Hofbibliothek abgegeben werden. Im Gegenzug sollte eine Kreisbibliothek gegru\u0308ndet werden, welche die Bu\u0308cher der aufgelo\u0308sten Augsburger und schwa\u0308bischen Klo\u0308ster aufnehmen sollte. 1811 begann die Zusammenfu\u0308hrung der verbliebenen Besta\u0308nde in die Vereinigte Ko\u0308nigliche Kreis- und Stadtbibliothek; hinzu kamen auch Bu\u0308cher des Augsburger Jesuitenkollegs (mit Teilen der Bibliothek des Humanisten Konrad Peutinger), des Evangelischen Kollegs bei St. Anna und der Eichsta\u0308tter Hofbibliothek (mit Besta\u0308nden aus dem Besitz des Humanisten Albrecht von Eyb).",
