  "biographicalOrHistoricalInformation": "In der Schweiz waren im 19. Jahrhundert noch alle Bahnen im Besitz privatrechtlicher Gesellschaften. An der Volksabstimmung vom 20.02.1898 wurde vom Souvera\u0308n die Verstaatlichung der fu\u0308nf grossen Gesellschaften gutgeheissen. Der erste Verwaltungsrat bestand aus 54 Mitgliedern, und die erste konstituierende Sitzung wurde am 24.10.1900 abgehalten. Seit dem 01.01.1902 existiert die SBB als vollsta\u0308ndige Organisation; dieser Tag gilt als offizielles \"Geburtsdatum\" der SBB. Bis dahin wurde der Betrieb zwar im Auftrag der Bundes, aber noch in der Organisation der Privatbahnen gefu\u0308hrt. Sukzessive wurden von 1901 bis 1909 die fu\u0308nf gro\u0308ssten Privatbahnen verstaatlicht und in die SBB u\u0308berfu\u0308hrt. Schliesslich wurden folgende Privatbahnen in die SBB eingegliedert: Schweizerische Centralbahn (SCB), Schweizerische Nordostbahn (NOB) inkl. Bodenseeflotte, Vereinigte Schweizerbahnen (VSB), die Toggenburgerbahn, Jura-Simplon-Bahn (JS) inkl. Bru\u0308nigbahn (ab 1904), Gotthardbahn-Gesellschaft (GB) (ab 1909), Jura neucha\u0302telois (JN) (ab 1913), To\u0308sstalbahn (TTB) inkl. Wald-Ru\u0308ti-Bahn (ab 1918), Seetalbahn (STB) (ab 1922), Uerikon-Bauma-Bahn (UeBB) (ab 1948) & Chemin de fer Vevey\u2013Chexbres (VCh) (ab 2013). Per 01.01.1999 wurde die SBB von der Bundesverwaltung ausgegliedert und in eine spezialgesetzliche (o\u0308ffentlich-rechtliche) Aktiengesellschaft umgewandelt, deren Aktien sich vollumfa\u0308nglich im Eigentum der Schweizerischen Eidgenossenschaft befinden.",
