Eloquenz, 1711 d. Anatomie u. Botanik, 1719/20 Rektor; starb an Lungentuberkulose ; Hans Stehelli (gest. 1555?) aus Reutlingen ist der Stammvater der Familie, er erlangte 1520 das Bu\u0308rgerrecht von Basel. Martin Sta\u0308helin (1631-1697), Goldschmied, war 1691 Oberstzunftmeister, Martin Stehelin (1665-1728) war Goldschmied und Dreizehner, Johann Heinrich Stehelin (1668-1721) war Arzt, Professor und Botaniker. Zwei weitere Botaniker hat die Familie hervorgebracht: Benedikt Stehelin (1695-1750) und Johann Rudolf Stehelin (1724-1800), gleichfalls Arzt.",
