  "biographicalOrHistoricalInformation": "Foillet besass zusammen mit Johannes Exertier von 1579-1586 eine Offizin in Basel; 1586 gingen beide nach Besanc\u0327on, von wo Foillet im Fru\u0308hjahr 1586, unter Beibehaltung des Basler Bu\u0308rgerrechts, nach Mo\u0308mpelgard (Montbe\u0301liard) u\u0308bersiedelte und Exertier Ende 1592 nach Basel zuru\u0308ckkehrte. In Montbe\u0301liard betrieb Foillet eine Offizin und einen Buchladen; er druckte aber auch 1588-1590 mit Johann Exertier zusammen in Besanc\u0327on und in seinem Basler Filialbetrieb erschienen 1593 bis 1603 von ihm firmierte Drucke, danach u\u0308bergab er diesen an Exertier. Nach seinem Tod u\u0308bernahm sein Sohn Samuel Foillet die Offizin in Montbe\u0301liard; Conrad, der zweite Sohn, war als Buchbinder u. kurzfristig auch als Verleger in Basel ta\u0308tig",
