Ab 1818 verlegte er unter eigenem Namen. 1822 erwarb er die Weidmannsche Buchhandlung in Leipzig. 1826 trat sein Sohn Georg Ernst Reimer in das Gescha\u0308ft mit ein. Georg Reimer kaufte 1828 auch die fru\u0308here Go\u0308schensche Druckerei in Grimma",
