Die Bibliothek umfasste einst ca. 30.000 Ba\u0308nde und war eine der beru\u0308hmtesten Schlossbibliotheken der Mark Brandenburg. 1931 kaufte sie der Landrat Peter Friedrich Mengel und brachte sie im Schloss Freienwalde unter. 1945 wurde sie in das Johanna-Kinderheim nach Werftpfuhl verlagert. Dort sind u\u0308ber 90% der Besta\u0308nde vernichtet worden. Die verbliebenen Besta\u0308nde werden heute an verschiedenen Orten aufbewahrt",
